Continuing your yoga study to become an advanced yoga instructor is one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s a challenging and tough trip with lots to learn. This tutorial will help you through the important stages.

Program Overview. Advanced yoga teacher training is 300 hours. This course is more tough than the 200-hour YTT since students are urged to train hard. Unlike the 200-hour training, no education is required during competition. The course will help yoga instructors who desire to grow in their careers.

Yoga schools and institutions usually create their own curriculum. The Yoga Alliance has set teaching requirements. If your school is a RYS, the time will be consistent.

Online or in a school, the 300-hour yoga teacher training course follows the same basic concept. The 300-hour YTT is regarded more difficult.

A typical 300-hour yoga teacher training course includes:

Instruction and practise. There are asana, pranayama, and meditation classes. It also discusses mantras and kriyas. This workshop teaches you how to teach.

Teaching methods. Building on your 20-hour YTT, you can establish your own teaching method. It is frequently addressed how to communicate effectively while maintaining limits.

Physiology and anatomy A&P. Organs, chakras, and energy anatomy are often discussed. Yoga can help you learn anatomy and physiology.

Yoga teachers’ ethics and philosophy. Yoga instructors must study traditional scriptures and ethics.

Practinum.   You will be asked to give classes for your classmates.

This course features long days spread out over the above modules. For your 300-hour online yoga teacher training, allow 150 contact hours through Zoom (or equivalent).

You will also be offered educational movies and books.

A 200-hour yoga teacher training programme is required before enrolling in a 300-hour programme. Or at a school or retreat.

You determine how long to keep them apart. Many students choose to complete the YTT before moving on to the next level.

Course Length

Temp work is possible. A full-time retreat or school study period is usually four to five weeks. Three weeks is the shortest. But it varies by school.

If you can’t study full-time, you can finish your 300-hour course part-time. This can be done after school or on weekends at a nearby school.

Yoga can be practised at home. Online 300-hour YTT Students can study at their own pace, whether fast or slow.

Course Fees

300-hour yoga teacher training programmes range in cost. In general, retreats cost $1,500. Accommodation and meals are included in the cost of teacher training. You may get an excellent deal for under $1,000. A lavish tropical vacation may exceed $5,000. Yoga Alliance-accredited RYS may charge more.

Studying your self-paced 300-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh (India) will cost around $1,900, although in other countries institutions charge double that.

If you complete your course online before 30 June 2020, you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher.

Procedure to Apply

You can apply online for your 300-hour yoga teacher training. Once you’ve chosen a course or retreat that appeals to you, you can book it through Yoga Teacher Land or directly with the school. Best wishes!
